ETFE chemical name ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer is a fluoropolymer thermoplastic material. It is an artificial high-strength fluoropolymer. ETFE membrane material is directly formed from the material. ETFE membrane material has good durability, cleanliness and stability. It is a typical non-woven membrane material. It is the most advanced membrane material in the world. ETFE film with 0.25mm thick, colorless transparent tape printing points is selected for the National Stadium. PTFE chemical name polytetrafluoroethylene, is a kind of chemical inert material, which takes glass fiber as the substrate to form PTFE film. PTFE also has excellent durability, cleanliness and stability. The PTFE membrane material selected for the National Stadium is the sound-absorbing membrane material in the ceiling area and the waterproof membrane material in the inner ring facade according to different positions. After testing, the fire resistance of ETFE membrane material and PTFE membrane material can reach grade B1, which is a flame retardant material.
1. Characteristics of PTFE membrane
(1) The biggest characteristic of PTFE membrane material is high strength. The thickness of medium strength PTFE membrane is only 0.8mm, but its tensile strength has reached the level of steel; Moreover, the low elastic modulus is conducive to the formation of complex curved surface modeling;
(2) It has a wide temperature range and can be used in the temperature range of – 70 ℃ ~ 230 ℃;
(3) It has unique optical performance. The incident light becomes natural warm light during the day to prevent glare, no shadow, and the light is evenly distributed; There is almost no UV transmission, which prevents the fading of interior decoration materials and equipment; The high reflection performance at night makes the room have excellent lighting effect, reduces power consumption, and can set off the brilliance of buildings in the air at night;
(4) Good self-cleaning, rainwater can wash away the attachments on the surface;
(5) It has high light transmittance, 13% light transmittance, 73% reflectivity to heat energy and little heat absorption;
(6) The service life is more than 25 years.
